Kerrera
Oban, Kerrera and Loch Melfort (OS Explorer Map)
Seen from most of Oban Kerrera is just over 6 miles long and is ideal for walking or cycling, you can of course take your car over on the ferry. The ferry journey takes only a few minutes and you will find this an easy island to visit. While there are no shops on the Island there is a Tea garden at the south end near Gylen Castle. The population of Kerrera is small, between 30-35 people.

Gylen Castle, on the southern part of the island of Kerrera was built in 1587 by the Clan MacDougall.
