Isle of Lewis Ferry
Ullapool to Stornoway is often a good 4 hours journey. The ferry is very comfortable and you are allowed to take your dog with you onto the ferry as they provide two areas for you to sit with your pets. If you are not a good sailor then consider taking appropriate sea sickness tablets at least 1 hour before boarding the ferry. If in doubt speak to your GP before taking them. The Ferry also has an excellent restaurant service and we enjoyed (well I did my wife was feeling sea sick!) a good cooked breakfast. There is points to plug in laptops, better still switch off the computer, switch off the mobile phone and enjoy your trip to the Outer Hebrides.
